Ocean currents and trade winds are already beginning to move out of predictable patterns as they react to the increased levels of CO2 found in the atmosphere and ocean. This phenomena is fundamentally changing the hard-wiring of our climate. Caused by the burning of billions of tons of fossil fuels every year and the clear cutting of forests worldwide along with a plethora of other environmental devastations, the challenge to human beings will require more pain, more suffering, more species level reinvention than any peril we've faced in the past.
Our challenge at Sequester Carbon Now is to invite every human being on the planet to plant a tree on October 11th, 2011. That's 6.4 billion new trees in one cycle of the planet.
